About the role The Manager, Execution plays a critical role in supporting the successful completion of Housing Australia’s lending and investment transactions. Reporting to the Associate Director, the role is responsible for managing contract and financial close activities across key housing and infrastructure programs, ensuring all transaction requirements, due diligence, documentation, conditions precedent, and AML/KYC obligations are completed accurately and efficiently. Working closely with investment, risk, legal, and external stakeholders, the Manager, Execution helps ensure transactions progress smoothly to settlement while maintaining strong governance, compliance, and risk management standards.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end transaction execution through to settlement, ensuring all conditions precedent, due diligence, documentation, and funding requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate complex transactions and stakeholder inputs, working closely with Investment, Legal, Risk, Treasury, and external parties to support successful financial close outcomes.
- Identify and manage execution risks, maintaining strong governance, compliance, and audit trails while proactively resolving issues and escalating material matters as required.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement, enhancing execution processes, reporting,
data quality, and transaction management practices across the lending portfolio.
Skills And Experiences
Skills and experience
- Experience in transaction execution, financial close, or project/property finance, with exposure to debt and equity structures, loan settlements, and complex funding arrangements.
- Robust understanding of finance agreements, loan documentation, and due diligence requirements, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly organised and delivery-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong risk assessment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, manage stakeholders, and drive pragmatic solutions through to completion.
- Qualifications in Law, Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related discipline, supported excellent relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills .
