About the Role As Manager Policy , you will guide a small, high performing team to shape the future of mining policy, that support work health and safety, industry sustainability and community confidence. You will work at the centre of government decision making, driving strategic initiatives, influencing reform and delivering advice that matters. Your key responsibility will be to manage the work health and safety policy framework, working closely with the Resources Regulatory.

You will lead policy development and regulatory reform. You will manage key projects such as Cabinet submissions and legislative processes. You will build strong, trusted relationships across government and industry, ensuring collaboration and alignment. You will also respond to emerging issues with insight and confidence, while elevating the quality of advice and outcomes delivered by your team.

you will bring strong experience in policy development and delivery, a sound understanding of government decision-making, Cabinet and legislative processes, and the ability to turn research and analysis into practical, outcome-focused advice. With excellent judgement and project management skills, you'll be able to navigate competing priorities, and respond to emerging issues. You'll lead, develop and empower your team to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Who We Are

NSW Resources, a division of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, is responsible for the strategic management, regulation, and sustainable development of New South Wales' mineral and energy resources. - overseeing mine rehabilitation
- engaging with communities to promote transparency and land access collaboration.
