Description: Supply Nation’s vision is of a vibrant, prosperous and sustainable Indigenous business sector in Australia. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Communications and Media, the Marketing Manager will oversee the coordination of marketing initiatives, internal and external communications, content development, digital and media opportunities, to ensure all projects are executed to the highest standard.

The Marketing

Manager will be responsible for effectively managing a small/medium sized team and maintaining a productive and reliable unit within the organisation. This role will also be responsible for the development and delivery of diverse marketing, communications and media activities, and heavily involved in the promotion and delivery of Supply Nation’s regional Trade Fairs and annual flagship event for the Indigenous business sector - Connect. The functions of the role will continue to evolve with the needs of the organisation and our stakeholders.

Skills and Experiences: Key Responsibilities Cultural leadership and advocacy Demonstrate and uphold the organisations cultural values in all work and interactions.

Promote a culturally safe, respectful and inclusive workplace for staff, suppliers, members and other stakeholders.

Incorporate appropriate cultural practices and protocols into everyday work.

Support initiatives that strengthen Indigenous workforce participation and contribute to culturally informed ways of working. Marketing and communications Develop, implement and continuously refine marketing strategies and campaigns to build brand awareness, advocacy and participation in Supplier Diversity, aligned to organisational goals.

Lead and support a high-performing team across Digital, Communications and Design; set clear goals, provide coaching and foster a culture of creativity, accountability and continuous improvement.

Plan, develop and optimise digital marketing campaigns including social media (organic and paid) to increase engagement, generate leads and build community.





Monitor online channels proactively, including social media commentary and sentiment in market; provide timely, culturally safe and brand aligned responses, escalating issues as appropriate. Build, schedule and optimise email campaigns that educate, inspire and inform our audiences, and drive participation in key initiatives, programs and events.

Develop compelling and culturally respectful content including thought leadership, storytelling, case studies and campaign copy that expands our share of voice and strengthens the value proposition of Supply Nation. Oversee website content and UX, ensuring all information is accurate, accessible, engaging and aligned with brand and cultural protocols. Analyse performance data and insights, reporting regularly on marketing effectiveness, campaign performance, audience engagement and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Promote, amplify and support delivery of our brand-led events including our Regional Trade Fairs and Connect, ensuring cohesive campaign execution and consistent brand experience. Manage brand governance, including visual identity, tone of voice and messaging across all touchpoints to ensure consistency and cultural identity.

Oversee the design and delivery of key publications, including research reports and the annual report, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery. Manage agency and relationships, ensuring high-quality deliverables, clear briefs, cultural alignment and cost control.

Manage the marketing event calendar (key campaign activities), internal marketing collateral, and resources.

Manage media and advertising initiatives, identifying and leveraging opportunities to strengthen brand awareness and advocacy.

Develop clear creative briefs for design, photography and videography production, ensuring alignment with brand and campaign objectives. Ensure all marketing activity demonstrates cultural awareness and respect, and appropriately reflects the voices, achievements and perspectives of Indigenous businesses.

Undertake Ad hoc marketing duties to support organisational needs, where required. Workplace health and safety Maintain a safe, inclusive and culturally respectful work environment while complying with all WHS policies and procedures.

Escalate all workplace hazards, incidents or near misses in line with organisational procedures, and take immediate action to mitigate risks where appropriate.



Participate actively in WHS consultation processes and contribute to continuous improvement of health, safety and wellbeing practices. Key selection criteria Essential Skills And Experience 7+ years of experience in developing and executing multi-channel marketing strategies (social, website, email, paid media and digital campaigns) - with measurable outcomes in awareness and growth.

Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team, including managing performance, KPIs and workflow. Tertiary qualifications in marketing and/or communications or a related discipline and demonstrated experience working in a professional / business setting.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft high-quality content for diverse platforms.

Strong copywriting, editing and storytelling capabilities. Exceptional project and time management skills with the experience managing concurrent projects and campaigns. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams, functions and geographic locations.

Experience managing and developing content for diverse engagement platforms.

Demonstrated experience producing and managing social media content across multiple channels: websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc.

Experience using key marketing tools, ideally HubSpot (or similar), Trello, Analytics, and ad platforms (Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager). Desirable skills, knowledge and attributes Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous societies, cultures and issues affecting Indigenous Australians in business. Understanding of the Indigenous business sector, and previous experience working on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander issues/projects will be highly regarded.

Experience working within or with not-for-profit, Indigenous or mission-led organisations. Strong eye for detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes. Proven ability to engage diverse audiences, build relationships and influence key stakeholders across corporate, government and community sectors.

Additional Requirements

Ability to attend after-hours meetings and/or events as required.

Ability to work cross-functionally and across geographies as interstate travel may be required.
