Position Title: Marketing Specialist

Department: Lead Generation & Delegate Acquisition

Recruiter: Nextmedia Pty Ltd

Brands: iTnews and techpartner.news

Employment Type: Full time

Location: North Sydney Position Summary The Marketing Specialist is responsible for growing the volume and quality of leads generated for driving strong, well-qualified attendance at our in-person activations across iTnews and techpartner.news. iTnews is Australia’s leading B2B masthead for enterprise IT and technology decision-makers, while techpartner.news serves the Australian technology channel - MSPs, resellers, integrators, and distributors. The role sits at the centre of demand generation and event marketing. It converts our audiences into marketing-qualified leads for advertisers and sponsors, and fills our roundtables, briefings, awards and summits with the senior decision-makers our commercial partners want to reach.

Success is measured in leads and attendees - both how many, and how well-matched they are to our commercial objectives. Key Responsibilities

Own and grow the demand-generation pipeline for iTnews and techpartner.news, converting audience into marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) for the commercial and sales teams.

Commission and undertake market research to identify market opportunities for new and existing in person products.

Collect and analyse data to research potential demand and market characteristics for new goods and services.

Support business growth and development through the preparation and execution of marketing objectives, policies and programs.

Build and optimise landing pages, forms, lead magnets and nurture journeys that lift conversion rates and reduce cost per lead.

Develop audience segmentation and lead-scoring approaches so sales receive higher-quality leads matched to advertiser and sponsor target profiles.

Partner with the commercial team to turn advertiser and sponsor briefs into campaigns that meet guaranteed lead volumes and quality thresholds.

Advise the commercial team on all elements of the marketing mix, such as product mix, pricing, advertising and sales promotion, selling and distribution channels.

Drive attendance - both numbers and quality - at iTnews and techpartner.news in-person activations, including roundtables, executive briefings, breakfasts, awards, summits and partner events.

Define and target the right attendee profile for each activation - seniority, job function, industry, account and buying influence - so rooms are filled with the decision-makers advertisers and sponsors want to reach.

Build and execute multi-channel invitation campaigns across email, database, editorial, social, paid, telemarketing and partner channels to maximise qualified registrations.

Reduce no-show rates and lift attendance quality through confirmation sequences, reminders, waitlist management and attendee vetting.

Capture attendee data and feedback to build audience profiles, generate follow-up leads and improve future activations.

Work with editorial and events teams to shape event propositions, agendas and speaker line-ups that attract the target audience.

Develop strategies to build the visibility of the iTnews and techpartner.news brands and maintain their brand identity.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline.

At least two years’ relevant B2B marketing experience,

ideally with a lead-generation or event-marketing focus.

Demonstrated experience running B2B lead-generation or demand-generation campaigns.

Experience marketing events, webinars or in-person activations and driving registrations and attendance.

Strong digital, email and content marketing skills.

Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms and building nurture journeys.

Strong analytical skills, able to interpret lead, campaign and event metrics and act on them.

Experience building landing pages, forms and lead-capture assets.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong stakeholder management and project coordination, able to run multiple campaigns and events at once to deadline.
