We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Trainer & Assessor to join our team. This will deliver and assess nationally recognised electrical qualifications, providing learners with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and industry insights role is ideal for a qualified electrician who is passionate about developing the next generation of electrical professionals through high-quality vocational education and training.
You will deliver and assess nationally recognised electrical qualifications, providing learners with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and industry insights required to succeed in the electrical industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom, practical, and workplace-based training and assessment.
- Assess learner competency in accordance with nationally recognised training products and RTO requirements.
- Develop and maintain training and assessment resources.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback to learners.
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate training and assessment records.
- Ensure compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and organisational policies.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure all training is delivered in accordance with relevant WHS legislation.
- Participate in validation, moderation, continuous improvement,
and professional development activities.
- Build positive relationships with employers, apprentices, and industry stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Current unrestricted Electrical Licence.
- Relevant vocational qualification in Electrotechnology or a related discipline, at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
- Demonstrated recent industry experience as a licensed electrician.
- Strong knowledge of current electrical standards, regulations, and workplace safety requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Current driver’s licence.
Desirable
- Experience delivering training within the Australian VET sector.
- Experience working with apprentices and trainees.
- Current Construction Induction (White Card).
- Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) and CPR certification.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience using learning management systems and digital learning platforms.
