We are currently seeking passionate and caring Assistant Early Childhood Educators (Certificate III) to join our team.

Shifts rostered between 7:30am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Centre operates between 7:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, and flexibility may be required to support service needs.

A Little More About The Role

As an Assistant Early Childhood Educator, you will work under the guidance of an Early Childhood Educator (Diploma or Degree qualified) to support the delivery of high-quality education and care for children attending the service. Programs are informed by the Belonging, Being and Becoming: Early Years Learning Framework and aim to support the development, wellbeing and learning of every child.

In This Role You Will

- Support the delivery of educational programs guided by the Early Years Learning Framework




- Assist with planning and implementing learning experiences tailored to each child’s strengths and interests
- Build nurturing and respectful relationships with children that recognise their rights, differences and choices
- Provide supervision and personal care while maintaining safe, welcoming and inclusive environments
- Work collaboratively with educators and families to deliver high-quality education and care
- Contribute to the documentation of children’s learning and development in accordance with City of Melbourne policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in reflective practice, staff meetings and professional learning opportunities
- Maintain compliance with OHS requirements, emergency management procedures and a workplace culture free from bullying, discrimination and harassment
- Contribute to the centre’s Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement of the service

Key selection Criteria

- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards)
- Must hold and/or obtain current Mandatory Reporting from Department of Education, before commencement
- Must hold and/or obtain Geecko Child Safety Training, before commencement
- Current First Aid Certificate with CPR




- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Passion for supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and development
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Commitment to creating safe, inclusive and welcoming environments for all children and families
