This role will be responsible for facilitating operational requests from Shipping lines, Rail Customers, transport operators and Freight Forwarders in and out of Melbourne Container Park and ensuring these are processed effectively to minimise disruption to depot operations. The position is on the afternoon shift.
Key Accountabilities
- Support gate, yard operations and centralised teams
- Prepare documentation for yard operations
- Liaise with customers and key stakeholders for FCL and empty collection requirements
- Liaise with terminals regarding operation requirements
- Liaise with shipping lines to execute job completion
- Ensure data integrity is maintained for all operational systems
- Coordinate with yard supervisor on equipment requests
- Ensure all plans are effective to minimise disruption to depot operations
- Confirm completion of Import/Export and Quarantine deliveries with customers
- Maintain AQIS records
- Manage any discrepancies from the previous day’s operations
- Forecast daily operations
- Manage re‑fer operations, including yard checks and planning
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- Current driver’s licence
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience in a container park or logistics‑related role
- Experience in data entry
- Knowledge of 1‑Stop and Transport Management Systems (desirable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
