Band 6 Salary Range: $97,245.14 - $105,466.60 per year plus 12% Superannuation

Do you want to make an IMPACT? Latrobe City Council is seeking a motivated and qualified Planning Compliance Officer to join our Statutory Planning team on a fixed-term basis and a Planning Compliance Officer to join our Statutory Planning team on a permanent full time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in protecting and enhancing our community by ensuring compliance with planning legislation and supporting positive planning outcomes across Latrobe City.

About The Roles

Reporting to the Coordinator Statutory Planning, the Planning Compliance Officers are responsible for investigating and managing planning compliance matters, undertaking enforcement activities, and ensuring Council meets its statutory obligations. The role involves liaising with residents, developers, businesses and other stakeholders while working within a legislative framework to achieve practical and effective outcomes.

This position offers a varied workload and the opportunity to develop your skills in planning legislation, compliance investigations, stakeholder engagement and regulatory processes.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Has experience or qualifications in statutory planning, compliance, regulation or a related field.
- Can confidently interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures.




- Possesses strong investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Can work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrates sound judgement, professionalism and a customer-focused approach.
