Our client is a large international business with a significant operational footprint across Australia and an established global customer base.

Supporting a complex, asset-intensive business, the legal team partners closely with stakeholders across commercial, operational and corporate functions. The breadth of the organisation creates an unusually varied legal practice, offering exposure to commercial contracting, international trade, ESG initiatives, property, strategic projects and day-to-day operational advice.

The Role

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will join a trusted legal team working closely with senior stakeholder to provide practical and commercial legal advice.

Offering genuine breadth, the role spans commercial contracting, operational support and strategic legal advisory work, with lawyers encouraged to become business partners rather than solely technical advisers.

The work is highly varied, with matters ranging from day-to-day operational support through to complex commercial projects.



Working across multiple business functions, you’ll gain exposure to legal issues that extend well beyond a traditional commercial role, making this an excellent platform for lawyers looking to broaden their in-house capability.

About You

You are a commercial lawyer looking to build a long-term in-house career within a supportive team environment.

You will bring:

- 2-5 years' PQE, though applications outside this range will also be considered;
- Strong corporate, commercial and/or agri experience gained in private practice or in-house;
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills;
- The ability to balance legal risk with practical commercial outcomes; and
- A collaborative, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
