FinXL is seeking a Python, SQL & Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a key transformation engagement.

Responsibilities

- Configure, manage, and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network services.
- Develop Python scripts for network automation, system integrations, and operational efficiency.
- Write optimised SQL queries, stored procedures, and support database performance tuning.
- Monitor network availability, performance, and capacity to proactively identify improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity and infrastructure issues.
- Leverage REST APIs, JSON, and XML for seamless data integration across systems.




- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Key Skills & Experience

- Strong background in Network Engineering and Infrastructure Administration.
- Hands-on experience configuring Cisco and Firewall products (e.g., CSM, FMC).
- Demonstrated expertise in Python development for scripting and automation.
- Proficient in SQL database design, query optimisation, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and data integration technologies.
- Hands-on experience with version control and source code management tools.
- Proven ability to work independently and deliver within rapid-paced environments.
