Overview

This project will provide the Customer’s Headquarters facilities and outlying buildings with services necessary to ensure optimal performance and utilization of the facility infrastructure, including, but not limited to, Operation & Maintenance (O&M;), recapitalization, renovations, design, construction, records management, repairs to correct identified deficiencies or adverse impacts to operational capabilities, and improvements leveraging innovative and technological solutions.

Who You Are

We are looking for a skilled Facilities Operations and Maintenance Manager to lead overall operations, maintenance, and performance of our government customer’s sites. You will manage a team of specialists, focusing on operational effectiveness, maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, analytical acumen, an eye for detail, and a proven ability to make decisions and adhere to strict deadlines.

This 24x7 operation requires on‑call support. Your role transcends conventional limits, placing a premium on the solid availability of essential systems. It is imperative that these systems remain operational without interruption. Your vigilant oversight and proactive maintenance strategies are the cornerstones of our commitment to delivering stellar customer service.

The role will be located in Alice Springs,



Australia at a 4,400‑acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. The Facilities Operations and Maintenance Manager is expected to travel between our facilities in Alice Springs and the local area and will be onsite 100%.

What You’ll Do

- Direct the facilities’ operations and maintenance (O&M;) and predictive and preventive maintenance for buildings, structures, ground services, engineering, central plant, fire protection/life safety, security, construction renovations, and custodial.
- Develop equipment maintenance scheduling plans; maintain, test, and inspect equipment and systems in accordance with current applicable US Government and Host Nation codes.
- Ensure O&M; compliance with original equipment manufacturer instructions and recommendations.
- Utilize industry‑standard practices for predictive maintenance across applicable service areas.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the maintenance program, implementing modifications to reduce equipment failures and increase efficiency.
- Formulate and enforce operational and maintenance standards that support company objectives, contractual requirements, and regulatory and environmental standards.
- Hire, train, and lead a competent workforce that is versatile and technically savvy.
- Orchestrate activities to align with overarching contract requirements and ensure smooth site operations.
- Guarantee continuity of critical infrastructure operations, maintaining reliability for around‑the‑clock mission support.
- Implement work processes and leverage data analysis to help clients achieve reliable equipment performance at cost‑effective rates.
- Draft comprehensive reports,



business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
- Communicate effectively with diverse teams, responding to questions, and solving operational issues.
- Apply corporate standards diligently and uphold strict adherence to environmental, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor contractual obligations and stay informed of regulatory changes impacting facility operations.

Requirements

- Possess an active TS/SCI with adjudicated CI polygraph or Host Nation PV clearance.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting projects of similar scope, size and complexity.
- Minimum of two (2) consecutive years of supervisory experience in facilities maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience prioritizing daily/weekly/monthly work plans.
- Demonstrated experience incorporating environmental health and safety practices.
- Experience working in 24x7x365 operational environments requiring close coordination with mission operations.
- Experience operating and maintaining power generation equipment.
- Experience building recapitalization plans.
- Ability to read construction design and equipment drawings.
- Knowledge of process improvement models (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, ISO 9000).
- Experience in operations management, construction/renovation projects.
- Experience planning and implementing large‑scale facility and logistics projects.
- Experience integrating project schedules.
- Proficient knowledge of project management concepts to manage schedule, scope, cost, risk, deliverables and related metrics.
