With an established global supply chain and engineering capability across Asia, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative, high-quality products backed by robust quality and compliance standards. As the business continues to grow its branded product portfolio, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced QA & Compliance Manager to lead and further strengthen its quality, product safety and compliance function.

The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the QA & Compliance Manager will take ownership of the company's Quality & Compliance function across Australia and China. You will be responsible for ensuring products meet Australian and Recent Zealand regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement across supplier quality, product safety, compliance systems and customer outcomes. Working closely with engineering, sourcing, product development and key retail customers, you will oversee the complete compliance lifecycle from supplier qualification and factory audits through to laboratory testing, regulatory approvals, pre-shipment inspections and post-market quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the company's Quality & Compliance Framework
- Manage supplier quality, factory audits and supplier approval processes
- Oversee product risk assessments, laboratory testing and compliance documentation
- Ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand regulatory standards including EESS, EMC and MEPS
- Lead product quality investigations, customer complaints and recall management
- Build strong relationships with key retail customers and external regulatory bodies
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Engineering, QA & Compliance team based in ChinaDrive continuous improvement initiatives across quality, compliance and supplier performance
- Report directly to the CEO on compliance performance, quality risks and business improvement initiatives
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Proven experience in a Quality, Compliance or Product Safety leadership role within consumer electronics, appliances or a similar manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand compliance requirements including EESS, EMC, MEPS and associated standards
- Experience managing supplier quality, factory audits and product testing programs
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams, ideally across international or remote environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical, commercial and executive audiences
- A proactive, hands‑on leader who enjoys taking ownership, driving continuous improvement and influencing business outcomes
