We are seeking a hands-on Mechanic Leading Hand to join our Malaga workshop, working across a up-to-date heavy vehicle fleet. This is a great opportunity for a strong, driven leader ready to step up and make an impact.

- $52.59/hr+ $5K Attraction Bonus +$20K Retention Bonus + Overtime opportunities
- Must be able to work a rotating day and night shift and be on call on weekends
- Full uniform & laundry service provided
- Supportive team and well-established workshop

The Opportunity

- 70% on the tools / 30% leadership position
- Leading a team of up to 10 mechanics across day and night shifts
- Carry out servicing, diagnostics, breakdowns and hydraulic repairs
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and apprentices
- Support day-to-day workshop operations and handovers between shifts
- Drive safety, performance and continuous improvement

About You

- Trade qualified (Cert III in Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Technology)
- 3–5+ year’s experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive change
- Solid diagnostic and heavy vehicle repair experience
- HR/MC License not essential or be willing to obtain
- Forklift License not essential or be willing to obtain
- Background in transport, waste, mining or civil (desirable)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and drug screen
