Experienced Medical Receptionist / Practice Manager Assistant
We are seeking a proactive, reliable and astute experienced medical receptionist to join our growing ophthalmology clinic. As the front door of our business, the successful candidate will play an significant part in shaping the patient experience from first contact through to treatment. Therefore, a dynamic individual with patient focused approach is a must.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in running of the practice as well as proactively updating processes as needed. You will be working independently and collaboratively with the practice manager. This is a part time position, commitment of 3 to 4 days a week.
Experience working in a specialist clinic is highly desirable.
Remuneration will be based on skills and experience.

- Experience in specialist clinic and understanding of Medicare billing preferable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Your responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:
- Ability to communicate effectively with referral partners
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients or carers
- Appointment coordination and understanding of clinic rhythm
- Ad hoc task and administration support as requested by doctor, clinical team and practice manager
- Assisting in marketing
- Billing and payment
- Clinic preparation including cleaning and tidy up
- Concise and accurate documentation
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation
- Coordinating surgical lists and booking; liaising with Anaesthetic rooms, Hospitals and Equipment Reps
- Continuing professional development in team leadership management skill
- Know when to escalate and seek assistance from Practice Manager or clinical team
- Problem solving and ability to prioritize
