We are looking for an experienced receptionist to join Gunyah of Wellness AMS in Nambour, QLD Australia. We specialise in providing health services to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and to the whole of the community but – We are not your typical medical centre!

Position Details

Role: Medical Receptionist

Work Location: Nambour, QLD

Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time, 4-day work week, No weekend work or after-hours work

Salary Range: $30 – $36 per hour

Reports To: Practice Manager

Qualification & Experience:



Certificate 3 Medical Reception and/or minimum of 2 year’s experience in medical reception or similar role

The Criteria

- A sense of Humour
- Understand and/or be interested in the health needs of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children, families and community
- Reliability suited to a high profiled, extremely busy medical practice
- A recent background in a medical practice position
- Professional and empathetic approach with patients
- Best Practice or similar medical software is desirable
- You must hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children Clearance).

Key Duties:

- Producing a high standard of customer care at all times.
- Answering and dealing with all incoming phone calls.
- Maintain confidential medical files and office records.
- Communicate effectively with all providers, patients and other practice staff.
- Scanning, faxing, photocopying patient documents as required
