Our valued client is seeking an experienced Residential Estimator to join their dynamic team! You'll play a key role in delivering accurate cost estimates and supporting the successful delivery of residential building projects. Working closely with Construction Managers, Site Supervisors, suppliers and subcontractors, you'll prepare bills of quantities, purchase orders and contract documentation, ensuring projects are costed efficiently and ready for construction.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Prepare material take-offs, bills of quantities (BOQs), purchase orders and manage supplier pricing.
- Source, compare and negotiate supplier quotes while coordinating material delivery schedules.
- Liaise with Construction Supervisors, trades and suppliers to prepare accurate estimates and resolve project-related issues.
- Manage contract documentation, variations, final account calculations and contract adjustments with accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and deliver a high standard of service throughout the estimating process.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in residential construction estimating or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of residential building contracts and construction processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
