About the role

As a People & Culture Business Partner, you play a key role in supporting leaders across Victoria and Tasmania to build engaged, high‑performing and compliant workplaces. Reporting into a Senior Business Partner, you’ll partner with operational leaders on employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR), workforce challenges, organisational change, people strategy and projects. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll influence outcomes, navigate complex people matters and contribute to initiatives that strengthen the employee experience.

This is a full‑time role working Monday to Friday, with hybrid working opportunities available. You will have a North‑West Metro Melbourne portfolio and the ideal candidate will be able to travel to sites and services located within this region on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities

- Partner with managers to provide practical advice across ER, performance, conduct and workplace matters
- Lead and support investigations, grievance resolution and disciplinary processes in line with organisational processes, policy and values, and industrial obligations
- Provide expert guidance on enterprise agreements, awards and workforce legislation
- Support organisational change initiatives, consultation processes and workforce transitions
- Collaborate with leaders to identify workforce solutions that support operational performance and employee experience
- Contribute to People & Culture projects, reporting, workforce insights and continuous improvement initiatives




- Participate in enterprise bargaining activities and support strategic people initiatives across the organisation

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualifications in human resources and/or ER/IR or equivalent industry experience
- Proven HR or People & Culture experience within a complex, multi‑site workplace
- Strong employee and industrial relations capability with sound judgement and commercial thinking
- Experience managing sensitive workplace matters from investigation through to resolution
- Confidence interpreting enterprise agreements, awards and employment legislation
- Experience supporting organisational change, consultation and workforce planning initiatives
- Ability to influence and build credibility with leaders at all levels
- Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments
- A proactive approach to delivering practical solutions and measurable outcomes

Essentials for working in Aged Care

- A current Working With Children’s Check (VIC) or willingness to obtain one
- Full Australian working rights
- A current Police Records Check/NDIS Clearance or be willing to undertake this process
- Current flu and ongoing vaccinations
