Job Description
Western Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join The Orange Door in the Brimbank Melton Area. This role provides specialist assessment, risk assessment, safety planning and intervention to adults, children and families experiencing or using family violence. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate with partner agencies to deliver high‑quality, client‑centred services that improve safety, wellbeing and outcomes for vulnerable members of the community.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to an innovative integrated service while developing your skills in integrated family violence practice.
- Undertake comprehensive psychosocial, risk and needs assessments for individuals and families accessing The Orange Door.
- Deliver evidence‑informed interventions, safety planning and case management in accordance with legislative and practice frameworks, including MARAM.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate integrated service responses and referrals.
- Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive client records and documentation.
- Participate in supervision, professional development and quality improvement activities to support best practice.

About the Candidate
- A recognised Bachelor or Master of Social Work qualification eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals and families experiencing complex needs, including family violence.
- Strong assessment, risk management and case management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage competing priorities.
Salary and Benefits
- $90,235.60–$103,688.00 per annum, plus superannuation, dependent on qualifications and experience (Social Worker Grade 2, Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021‑2026).
