Job Title - NTAS Network Engineer

Job ID - 1124545

Responsibilities:

- Perform network engineering activities across voice, video, and data systems, including converged communications environments.
- Conduct requirements analysis, development, and allocation for network and communications systems.
- Ensure network requirements are traceable to system-level capability needs and operational use cases.
- Support network architecture and design.
- Review design documentation and specialist network engineering reports.
- Develop and review engineering artefacts.
- Provide engineering support to communications networks and associated systems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in identification and management of technical risks, issues, and network performance concerns.
- Support cybersecurity and network hardening considerations in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Review and provide technical input on contractor deliverables related to communications and network engineering.
- Participate in engineering reviews, design reviews, and technical working groups.
- All other tasks as directed.

Qualification and Experience:

- Be a Chartered Qualified Engineer of a registered Professional Engineering Body (such as Engineers Australia) equivalent, or be able to attain chartered status.
- Tertiary qualifications in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in leadership and management roles, and an ability to coach and guide teams in the implementation of strategy and change.
- Understanding of technical, logistical, and operational requirements in the delivery of capability, and
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams of diverse technical specialisations.
