Tuncurry Lakes Resort is seeking experienced On Site Caretakers to join our team in Tuncurry, NSW.
This is a part-time role on average 15 hours per week per person based on a 5 day working week, which does include weekends. The position will see you playing a key role in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our beautiful resort.
Based in office, you will be responsible for ensuring the resort facilities and grounds are well-kept and presented to the highest standard for our guests.
The principal role of the caretakers is to provide on site security and emergency contact when the Managers are on nights off and annual leave. Cleaning duties as listed below are incorporated in the 15 hours per week per person.
The package is a neat 2 x bedroom cottage, airconditioned with newly renovated bathroom including electricity, water and internet. A mobile phone is provided.
What you'll be doing
- Cleaning and maintenance of Caravan park amenities, laundries and public toilets throughout the resort.
- Cleaning of the 2 common rooms on the Resort.
- Evening lock up on Managements days off and Annual Leave
- Opening and locking up of pool and testing of chemicals on Managements days off and Annual leave.
- Refueling and cleaning of hire boats.
- Pushbike hire
- Providing a high level of customer service to guests, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Monitoring and reporting on the condition of the resort, escalating any issues that require attention
- Supporting the resort Management team with the general running of,
and duties within the resort as required.
- Caretakers must be on site of an evening 7 days a week, during Managements annual leave.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a similar caretaker or facilities maintenance role, ideally within the hospitality or tourism industry
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, helpful approach when dealing with guests
- Good organizational and time management abilities to juggle multiple tasks
- Practical skills and handiwork experience for general maintenance and repair work
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the resort team
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working, including being available for weekend and after-hours shifts
