They are committed to making a meaningful impact in the community and are seeking an experienced Executive Officer to support the CEO during a period of change. Initially offered as a 3-month labour hire contract, this role has the potential to evolve into a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the CEO, this Executive Officer position offers a unique blend of operational, project and executive support responsibilities. While the long-term vision of the role includes traditional EO functions such as policy, research and strategic support, the immediate focus will be on improving systems, processes and records management to help the organisation operate more efficiently.
Key responsibilities include
- Improving and maintaining SharePoint systems and records.
- Updating key organisational registers, including insurance and conflict of interest registers.
- Reviewing, documenting and improving business processes.
- Supporting compliance, reporting and record-keeping activities.
- Assisting with organisational projects and transformation initiatives.
- Conducting research and supporting policy development activities.
- Preparing reports, briefings and documentation for the CEO.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting the organisation through a period of growth and change
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous Executive Officer, Project Officer, Operations or Business Support experience.
- Strong SharePoint and systems management skills.
- Experience improving business processes and implementing efficiencies.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Experience working within legal, government, community services or not-for-profit environments will be highly regarded.
- Exposure to governance, compliance or organisational reporting processes.
- An understanding of trauma-informed practices and community-focused services is desirable.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong systems' mindset.
- You must be an Australian Citizen to apply.
