Operations Technician – Production ConocoPhillips, an independent exploration and production company, is looking for an Operations Technician – Production to support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the Australia Pacific LNG facility at Curtis Island, Gladstone.

About the Role As an Operations Technician, you will perform scheduled and unplanned operational activities, maintain process optimisation, troubleshoot issues, and support cost‑efficiency initiatives under the oversight of the Operations Superintendent. The role requires collaboration with area operators and will involve continuous shift work, Monday‑Friday planning, and rotational 24/7 operations.

Key Responsibilities - Surveillance and optimisation of process conditions and parameters.

- Contribute to cost‑efficiency drivers.
- Compliance with operating procedures and proactive updates to reflect best practice.
- Report equipment defects and raise quality SAP notifications.
- Ensure plant operation within POL, EODs and process operational guidelines (POG).
- Communicate consistent, quality feedback during shift handovers.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and assist with troubleshooting.
- Act as functional focal point during designated periods.
- Plan,



develop and execute Rate Reductions and other key events (shutdowns).
- Review, populate and manage EODs.
- Align with ConocoPhillips’ SPIRIT values.

Qualifications - Year 10 education or equivalent.

- Experience working within a team‑based workplace.
- Ability to work a 24/7 permanent rotating shift roster.
- Basic computer literacy, including SAP experience.
- Preferred: Certificate in Process Plant Technology.
- Preferred: Trade qualification in Mechanical or Engineering & Instrumentation.
- Preferred: Completed LNG or hydrocarbon‑aligned traineeship.
- Preferred: Experience with loading/discharge shipping operations.
