Project Manager – Transport Oriented Development (Makkah, KSA)

Are you an experienced property development professional with a proven track record in the Australian construction sector.

An international, publicly listed development firm with offices in Australia is seeking a bilingual Project Manager to lead a landmark, transport-oriented mixed-use development in the holy city of Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Based out of our Melbourne or Queensland offices with travel requirements, this role offers a rare opportunity to bridge Australian delivery excellence with Vision 2030 giga-infrastructure goals.

Location : Australia (with regular deployment/travel to Makkah, KSA)

Reporting To : Chief Executive Officer, International (CEO-I)

Key Responsibilities

- Steer the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of this high-profile development.
- Engage, onboard, and manage international external consultants and local Saudi regulatory authorities.
- Manage critical relationships with high-level joint venture partners, government stakeholders, and corporate board members.
- Prepare detailed project feasibility studies, cost-control matrices, and risk assessments.
- Draft proposals and present data-backed recommendations directly to senior management and the corporate Board.
- Establish, monitor, and adapt complex master construction programs to ensure milestones are met on schedule.
- Maintain precise, regular progress and financial health reports for corporate auditing.

Required Skills & Experience





- Experience : 3 to 5 years of dedicated project management experience, explicitly within the property development or major infrastructure sector.
- Local Market Track Record : Proven, verifiable experience working within the Australian Construction and Development industry.
- Project Portfolio : Demonstrated experience being a core part of a team that has successfully delivered major mixed-use or transport-linked assets.
- Language Proficiency : Professional fluency in both Arabic and English (written and verbal) is required to successfully navigate local KSA municipal bodies and international corporate reporting.
- Technical Knowledge : In-depth understanding of urban planning controls, zoning, and master-planning frameworks.
- Preferred Capabilities :
- Proficient working knowledge of up-to-date project management and scheduling software (e.g., Estate Master, Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong technical background in building and construction methods.
- Outstanding team leadership skills, with a resilient, "can-do" attitude toward solving complex site and regulatory challenges.
