About Us

At Byford Medical Centre , we believe that healthcare is a team sport. We are a busy, community‑focused general practice dedicated to providing exceptional, holistic care to our patients. Our team of doctors, admin staff and allied health professionals pride themselves on a culture that is genuinely collaborative and supportive.

We know how hard nurses work, which is why we champion a true work‑life balance. No night shifts and no weekend work —just great patient care in a contemporary, well‑equipped clinic. We are proud of our high staff retention; most of our team has been with us for over 3 years, creating a warm, stable, and welcoming workplace.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join our clinical team. In this role, you will be the heartbeat of our treatment room, delivering top‑tier primary care and keeping our clinic running smoothly. You will be working alongside two other fantastic RNs, and we ensure that you will always have another nurse rostered on shift with you for support.

Your day‑to‑day will involve:

- Chronic Disease Management: Creating and coordinating GP Management Plans and Team Care Arrangements.

- Clinical Procedures: Wound care, ear syringing, ECGs, and assisting doctors with minor procedures.

- Immunisations & Injections: Administering routine childhood, travel,

and seasonal vaccinations.

- Triage & Patient Assessment: Assessing walk‑ins and managing urgent patient phone calls.

- Stock & Sterilisation: Maintaining treatment room stock, vaccine cold chain management, and ensuring strict infection control protocols.

About You

You are a proactive, compassionate nurse who loves the variety of primary care. You can think on your feet, build instant rapport with patients of all ages, and thrive in a dynamic clinic environment.

Qualifications

- Current, unrestricted registration with AHPRA as an RN or EN.

- GP Experience: Prior experience working in a general practice setting is highly desirable (bonus points if you know your way around Best Practice software).

- Occupational Health: Experience in corporate or occupational health is highly favourable.

- Strong understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) billing items relevant to nursing.

- Current CPR certification and an up‑to‑date immunisation provider status (or willingness to obtain).

- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Benefits

- True Flexibility: We don't have a rigid roster in mind. We want to find the right person and are completely open to discussing a schedule that fits your lifestyle or school drop‑off/pick‑up times.

- Never Work Alone: You will always have peer support with another nurse rostered on your shift.

- Great Culture: Join a down‑to‑earth, loyal team with low turnover where your ideas are heard and your hard work is noticed.

- Modern Facilities: Work in a beautiful, fully computerised space with state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
