About the Role

Curtin University's School of Population Health is seeking a proactive and highly organised Program Coordinator to join our collaborative research team. Reporting to the Research Program Lead, this role provides essential operational, administrative and coordination support across a portfolio of nationally significant research projects funded by the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation and the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).

Working closely with a growing team of researchers, clinicians and professional staff, you will help coordinate project activities, monitor timelines and milestones, support governance, ethics and grant reporting requirements, and facilitate collaboration with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will also provide administrative support for meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, assist with stakeholder engagement activities, and contribute to the coordination of PhD and postdoctoral researchers involved in the Centre's research programs.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting impactful health research while contributing to the continued growth and success of a dynamic and expanding research centre.

Your responsibilities will include

- Coordinate the delivery and day-to-day operations of the program, including the development, implementation and review of operational plans.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program objectives and deliverables are achieved, and stakeholder requirements are met.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance, contributing to effective resource planning and budget management where required.
- Prepare and coordinate project reports, documentation and other program-related materials to support governance, reporting and decision-making.
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to staff through effective performance management, development and career planning, where applicable.

Who we are looking for (selection criteria)

- A relevant degree with substantial professional experience,



or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant work experience.
- Strong program coordination skills, with the ability to plan, implement and monitor activities to achieve successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed written communication skills, with experience preparing clear, concise reports and professional documentation.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy and meet competing deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, combined with a collaborative approach to working within a team and supporting shared objectives.

Desirable

- Experience working within a tertiary education environment.

What We Offer You

This is a full time, 2-year fixed term contract (possibility of extension) with a salary range between $109,277 - $117,331 (G07) per annum, plus 17% superannuation.
