About The Role

We're on the lookout for a friendly and experienced Medical Receptionist ready to take the next step in their career as a 2IC (Second-in-Charge) within general practice! Our Myhealth Garden City practice is conveniently located in Westfield Garden City, and in this role you’ll be the friendly face our patients see first and the trusted support working alongside our Practice Manager to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

This opportunity is available on a full-time basis, and requires flexibility for early starts (from 7:15am) and later finishes (up to 6:30pm).

Day In The Life

- Assisting Practice Manager (or lead doctors) with operational excellence
- Day-to-day reception duties
- Overseeing and maintaining diary scheduling in collaboration with the Clinical Team (including waitlist management, booking in new clients and rescheduling appointments)
- Overseeing appointments and bookings
- Managing waitlist management, booking in new clients and rescheduling appointment
- Assisting with patient and doctor queries
- Utilising appropriate item numbers for appointments

What we're looking for

- Minimum of 1-2 years of reception experience in general practice/healthcare settings.
- Best Practice experience preferred




- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS, and Private Health Insurance billings preferred
- Strong multitasking abilities and effective prioritisation of workflow
- A positive, can-do attitude and a drive to make a meaningful impact on our patients and practice
