Role Highlights
Working within the Operations Division, the Port Services Officer is a diverse role that plays a critical part in contributing to growth and prosperity of Fremantle Ports Inner Harbour and Western Australia.
This is a Casual Pool for Port Services Officers in various shift environments with several positions available. The hourly rate range is $55.09 to $70.28.
Responsibilities
- Delivering effective mooring, unmooring and vessel service activities.
- Undertaking security control room duties including CCTV operation, conducting vehicle & foot security patrols and static guard house duties.
- Assisting with emergency response activities and pollution spill management.
- Operating shore tension equipment and supporting shipping services.
- Participating in wharf operations,
vessel servicing and general port services activities.
- Liaising with customers, contractors, shipping representatives and other stakeholders.
- Participating in training, drills and continuous improvement initiatives to support safe and efficient operations.

Highly Regarded
- Certificate II in Security Operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health and safety principles.
- Experience in Port, Maritime, Heavy Industry operations.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills, Microsoft 365 suite.
- Current unrestricted C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder liaison skills.
- A satisfactory level of physical fitness and commitment to maintaining required standards.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
