Due to a long, strong, and ongoing pipeline of work we are urgently seeking enthusiastic and motivated applicants for the positions of qualified Motor Mechanic within our Queensland Trades Team who will work for our valued clients.

Essential Skills

- Qualification as a Motor Mechanic
- Qualification as Electric Vehicle Motor Mechanic an advantage
- Expertise knowledge of current motor vehicle maintenance requirements.




- Be able to read and interpret technical manuals.
- Hold all industry required tickets and tools.
- Supply & maintain own commercial grade tools, noting a tool maintenance allowance is included in the salary package).
- Provide own vehicle to go to site.
- Maintain current driver’s license.

About You

- Able to work unsupervised and part of a team.
- Able to follow instructions.
- Hard working and reliable.
- Attention to detail and able to work to deadlines.

Qualifications

- Must have AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on‑the‑job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

Tasks

- Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts.
- Electric and hybrid vehicle diagnostics and repair.
- High‑voltage battery maintenance and reconditioning.
- Automotive electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and repair air conditioning systems across a wide range of vehicle brands.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and checking parts.
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune‑ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
- Reassembling engines and parts after they have been repaired.
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after they have been repaired for proper performance.
- Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers.
- May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness.
