We are looking for a Maintenance & Materials Planner to support safe, reliable and efficient rollingstock maintenance in Newcastle.
This role is ideal for a proactive planner who enjoys coordinating maintenance schedules, materials, inventory and stakeholders to ensure the right work happens at the right time.
About the role
- Plan and coordinate short to medium‑term maintenance activities to support fleet reliability and availability.
- Manage materials planning, inventory requirements and component movements to keep maintenance work on track.
- Work closely with depot teams, maintenance, supply and external repair providers to deliver one transparent maintenance plan.
- Maintain accurate system and inventory data, including SAP and maintenance planning information.
- Support continuous improvement through strong planning, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
About you
- Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling,
asset planning, materials coordination or project coordination.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience working with systems such as SAP, maintenance systems and Excel.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across operational teams.
