An opportunity exists for an experienced Independent Non-Executive Director to join the board of a significant, institutionally owned agribusiness operating across Northern Australia.

The business forms part of a large-scale, vertically integrated livestock and beef supply chain, encompassing extensive pastoral operations, feedlot infrastructure, cropping assets and meat processing capabilities. Following a major investment and transformation program, the organisation is entering an exciting growth phase with a strong focus on operational excellence, sustainability, governance and long-term value creation.

About the Opportunity

The board is seeking an accomplished director who can provide independent oversight, strategic guidance and constructive challenge as the business continues to scale and achieve its long-term ambitions. The successful candidate will join a highly experienced board and executive team overseeing a complex agricultural enterprise operating across multiple stages of the beef production and processing value chain. The role involves approximately six board meetings per year, together with preparation for meetings, participation in occasional committee or working group discussions, and periodic site visits within Northern Australia.

Ideal Background

- Significant executive or board-level experience within meat processing, red meat production, livestock supply chains or agribusiness.
- A strong understanding of the Australian livestock industry and broader agricultural sector.
- Experience operating in complex, capital-intensive businesses.

- An appreciation of the unique opportunities and challenges associated with operating in regional and remote Australia.

Highly Regarded

- Direct experience within a meat processing facility or red meat export business.
- Deep understanding of extensive livestock production systems in Northern Australia.
- Experience across vertically integrated agricultural operations.
- Knowledge of agricultural economics, agricultural science, sustainability or carbon market opportunities.
- Established networks across the Australian agricultural sector, including industry, government and key stakeholders.

Remuneration
