The Imagination OSHC Service is licensed for 105 children and supports families of children from Foundation to Year 6. The service provides before, afternoon and vacation care.

On going support from school staff in leadership, compliance, support of students with inclusion needs Role Overview The OSHC Director at Good Shepherd Lutheran School will be dedicated to the effective management and administration of the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care service. This position involves working closely with the school leadership team, staff, Risk & Compliance Officer, families, and the community, to provide a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for all children. The OSHC Director is responsible for ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and aligning all activities with the school's vision, values, and learning principles.
Main Responsibilities
Make decisions regarding program content, staff roles, and the allocation of resources
Oversee the compliance with National Quality Standards and ensuring that the service meets all legal and statutory requirements
Staff management, including the recruitment, induction and training / ongoing support to staff, and volunteers
Engage with families and the community to ensure their needs and expectations are met Evaluate and respond to complex situations involving child safety, staff performance, and program quality
Adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and statutory requirements
Implement risk management strategies as required under the National Regulations and notify authorities when necessary
Develop and monitor the annual budget and fee structure in consultation with the Business Director
Make informed decisions that reflect the school's Vision, Values, and Learning Principles
Continually assess and improve the OSHC program through reflective practice and feedback from stakeholders What You Will Bring Experience / Attributes Extensive experience in OSHC and Vacation Care or in a similar environment A thorough understanding of child development, recreation, and leisure programming for school-age children
In-depth knowledge of the National Quality Framework, relevant state and Australian government legal compliance requirements, and the administrative functions of an OSHC service
Solid operational, leadership and management skills
Experience in processing ISP funding and certificates of determination A growth mindset and commitment to lifelong learning An understanding of Good Shepherd Lutheran School's Vision, Values, and Learning Principles Qualifications / Training: An approved qualification for working with children over preschool age in South Australia as outlined by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
