Average Weekly Hours: 4-25 hours per week Schedule: Weekdays only (Monday-Friday), Weekends only, or a combination Available Hours: Flexible Purpose of Position The baker is responsible for The Eat Shop's daily baking operations. The baker is responsible for meticulously executing recipes and producing baked goods per the production schedule. The baker will maintain The Eat Shop quality standards by delivering premium products and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties - Manage production and prepare a wide variety of standard and custom baked goods according to The Eat Shop's approved recipes

- Mix, bake, build, decorate and inscribe products in an productive manner (as applicable)
- Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standards
- Safely operate and maintain bakery equipment
- Communicate effectively with customers and teammates
- Perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with teammates
- Maintain a clean and sanitary baking area




- Open and close the bakery as assigned Work Experience and Requirements Must have experience baking a variety of items at home or in a commercial setting.

Must be detail-oriented and able to concentrate in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work in cross‑functional roles as needed (back of house and front of house).

Must have reliable transportation.

Must be able to build relationships and communicate effectively with customers and teammates.

Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead is required on a daily basis.

Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.

Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.

Language

Must be able to speak, read, and write English, and communicate to coworkers and customers in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
