Whilst CVS has a well-established history and presence in the UK, our Australian business is in its early days. We have big plans for our growing business, and payroll plays a critical role in ensuring our people are supported and paid accurately and on time.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will provide day-to-day payroll administration support across our growing network of veterinary clinics and hospitals. You will work closely with Payroll, HR and clinic teams to deliver an excellent employee experience while maintaining compliance and accuracy.

Key responsibilities include

Supporting the end-to-end processing of a high-volume fortnightly payroll across multiple entities and locations

Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data accuracy





Processing payroll changes including new starters, terminations, leave and pay variations

Responding to payroll-related enquiries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner

Robust knowledge of payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements

Assisting with payroll reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities

Working collaboratively with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth employee lifecycle processes

Helping identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency

Supporting payroll projects as the business continues to grow

What you'll bring

We're looking for a values-driven, caring and adaptable Payroll Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing exceptional service to employees and stakeholders.

You will have

Previous experience in a payroll administration or payroll support role An understanding of payroll legislation, compliance requirements and modern awards

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

High levels of organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities

Experience using payroll systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel A customer-focused mindset with a desire to help and support others

Excellent communication skills,



both written and verbal A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement The ability to learn quickly and adapt in a growing and evolving business environment

Resilience, curiosity and a willingness to embrace new challenges
