Role Description The People Operations Specialist role is a part-time, remote position focused on supporting the full employee lifecycle for faculty, staff, and collaborators of the Pós-Graduação Engenharia de Dados e Inteligência Artificial program. This role includes administering HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and contract updates, while ensuring compliance with institutional HR policies and local labor regulations. The specialist will manage personnel records, coordinate employee benefits and leave requests, and respond to day-to-day HR inquiries.

Responsibilities also include supporting performance and engagement initiatives, assisting with recruitment logistics, maintaining HR documentation and systems, and preparing reports and metrics for leadership. Collaboration with academic and administrative teams to continuously improve people operations processes is expected.

Qualifications

Experience in Human Resources (HR), with the ability to support day-to-day HR operations and employee lifecycle processes.

Proficiency in HR Management and Personnel Management,



including maintaining accurate records and supporting performance and engagement initiatives.

Knowledge of HR Policies and Employee Benefits, with the ability to ensure compliance and clearly communicate guidelines to team members.

Strong organizational, time-management, and documentation skills, particularly in remote and part time work settings.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse academic and professional stakeholders.

Comfort with HR information systems or databases and basic proficiency in productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, document management, communication platforms).

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and follow ethical and regulatory standards.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
