An excellent opportunity is available for a dual-trained Staff Specialist in General Medicine and Infectious Diseases to join a modern regional health service within the Hunter New England network.
This position offers a balanced split across General Medicine (0.5 FTE) and Infectious Diseases (0.5 FTE), providing both breadth and subspecialty depth within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
The Role
You Will Provide Contemporary, Evidence-based Specialist Care Across
- Acute inpatient General Medicine
- Infectious Diseases consultation and management
- Multidisciplinary case discussions
- Clinical governance and quality improvement
- Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff

Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
FRACP with Specialist Registration
- Dual Fellowship in **General Medicine and Infectious Diseases**
- OR be due to attain Fellowship within the next 6 months in both specialties
- Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
