Overview

Forvis Mazars' Business Advisory team has an opportunity for a Manager to join our Australian team. Based in Melbourne, you will provide outstanding services to local and international clients across a diverse range of industries. You will be a key contributor to our fast-growing business and help build both the firm’s future and your own career.

This role works closely with three energetic partners to serve an existing client portfolio with services to meet compliance needs, provide consulting advice and deliver ongoing high-quality accounting, taxation and business support.

Responsibilities

- Lead a cohesive team including reviewing team members’ work, providing ongoing training and development, managing workflow and ensuring client expectations are met.
- Oversee the preparation of income tax returns, group tax summaries and loan summaries for corporate and family groups including trusts, companies, partnerships, individuals and SMSFs.
- Oversee Payroll Tax returns, FBT returns and activity statements.
- Drive consulting work for clients including quarterly accounts, cashflow management, CGT concessions, restructuring and tax planning.
- Build and maintain day-to-day relationships with clients and other external service providers.
- Take an active role in leading the broader Business Services team across the firm.
- Collaborate with other Mazars service lines (Audit, Tax, Consulting, etc.).
- Apply expert knowledge within the firm and to clients.
- Contribute to and work as part of the Forvis Mazars Melbourne management team.

About you

- Circa 6 years’+ experience in Business Services / Accounting / Tax.




- A qualified CA or CPA.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enjoy creating and developing strong client relationships.
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience delegating and reviewing the work of your team.
- Passionate about guiding, mentoring, nurturing and developing team members.
- Experienced in project management and ensuring deadlines are met in line with budgets.
- Responsive to client requirements and changes.
- Experience with MYOB, Xero and APS is highly regarded.
