We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our Perth Audit team. BDO's Audit practice is a major player within the local marketplace, working with a diverse portfolio of organisations across a broad range of industries. Our growing audit practice provides services to some of the most exciting, established and emerging organisations.
You will have the chance to work as part of a high‐performing team, gaining exposure to complex engagements while continuing to build your leadership capability.
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Demonstrated external audit experience within a professional services firm (typically 4+ years)
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
- Experience supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Solid understanding of financial statement areas and key audit concepts
- Ability to identify risks and apply appropriate audit procedures
- Strong attention to detail and problem‐solving skills
Key Responsibilities Include
- Support the management, leadership and development of the Audit team to ensure successful completion and execution of assigned engagements
- Contribute to service line initiatives and support broader team strategy and continuous improvement
- Identify audit and engagement risks and contribute to the development of appropriate audit approaches for each assignment
- Review working papers, audit queries, correspondence and reports prepared by the team to ensure compliance with audit plan, procedures, and quality standards
- Lead and participate in technical audit and accounting matters, escalating where appropriate
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients,
supporting effective communication throughout the audit process
