Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Platform Engineer / Release Manager to oversee the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of technology platforms while managing software release processes across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring platform reliability, automating deployment pipelines, coordinating release activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about DevOps, cloud technologies, automation, and operational excellence, with a strong focus on system stability and efficient software delivery.

Key responsibilities include

Design, implement, maintain, and optimize scalable platform infrastructure and deployment environments.

Plan, coordinate, and manage software releases across development, testing, staging, and production environments.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.

Collaborate with software engineers, QA teams, DevOps engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Monitor platform availability, performance, reliability, and security to ensure high system uptime.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows.

Manage release schedules, deployment plans, change requests, and release documentation.

Perform release readiness reviews, risk assessments, rollback planning, and post-release evaluations.

Troubleshoot platform issues, deployment failures, and production incidents while coordinating timely resolutions.





Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to improve operational visibility.

Maintain version control, configuration management, and environment consistency across multiple platforms.

Ensure compliance with security standards, governance policies, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Support cloud platform management, container orchestration, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Prepare operational dashboards, release reports, platform performance metrics, and executive summaries.

Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, DevOps tools, AI-powered operations solutions, and platform engineering best practices.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance deployment reliability, operational efficiency, and software delivery performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Strong understanding of platform engineering, release management, DevOps practices, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, build automation, and deployment strategies.

Familiarity with tools such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins,



Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or similar platforms.

Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar technologies.

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.

Familiarity with Linux, Windows Server, scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python, and system administration concepts.

Understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog, or similar solutions.

Knowledge of release governance, change management, incident management, and IT service management (ITSM) practices.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder communication abilities.

Robust organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple releases and platform initiatives simultaneously.

High attention to detail with a commitment to system reliability, security, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and Agile teams.
