Be at the centre of Queensland’s largest and most complex transport program! As a Principal Advisor (Strategy and Integration), you’ll represent TMR in forums, coordinate governance processes, and lead the development of high‑quality briefings, submissions and reports on complex and sensitive matters. Working closely with internal and external partners, you will help resolve emerging issues and ensure transport planning aligns with TMR’s strategic objectives.
As a Principal Advisor in the Strategy and Integration unit, you will play a critical role in coordinating governance arrangements and cross-agency planning activities, preparing strategic advice and reporting, and supporting senior leaders to deliver outcomes that align with TMR's objectives for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games (Games).
Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include
Representing TMR's interests in cross-agency working groups and coordinate TMR's technical input to external Games planning activities.
Identifying and helping to resolve transport matters arising from whole-of-Games planning activities to support safe, efficient and reliable transport outcomes.
Preparation of agendas and meeting papers for TMR governance bodies.
Preparation of correspondence, submissions, briefing notes and other materials on complex issues related to the Games.
Development, fostering and maintenance of effective internal and external networks with a focus on delivering high-quality service and advice to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements Of The Role Demonstrated strong understanding of TMR's role and responsibilities in relation to the Games and other matters of interest to the government.
Ability to rigorously analyse policies and plans, and provide advice to senior leaders and stakeholders, in a timely manner.
Demonstrated experience in program management and an ability to partner with stakeholders to manage, monitor, and report on program deliverables. Makes considered and ethical decisions based on program requirements and considers the broader context.
Possession of excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain effective and diverse networks and professional relationships to represent TMR interests in cross-agency forums, and to negotiate with stakeholders to drive program outcomes.
