Leisure & Activities Officer – Calvary Aged Care

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Leisure and Activities Officer to join our team on a permanent part‑time basis at Calvary Balmoral Grove, Grovedale. In this role you will enhance the quality of life for residents by coordinating and delivering engaging leisure and lifestyle programs.

Your Main Duties

- Respect every resident's individuality, personality, and right to independence to continue an enjoyable, healthy, and productive lifestyle.
- Develop formal and informal activity programs designed to improve and maintain the quality of life of residents.
- Provide social and recreational programs that meet the needs of the residents.

About You

- Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or a related qualification.
- Certificate III in Aged Care.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Effective interpersonal communication,



both written and verbal.
- Experience or qualifications working within palliative care.
- Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities and programmes for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities.
- Ability to document assessments, care plans, and progress notes to meet legislative, funding and quality improvement requirements.
- Ability to work and communicate with people of all ages and cognitive ability and to obtain their trust and cooperation.
