Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health qualified education and research across three campuses in the north‑east of Melbourne and statewide. The Austin FPS also provides contraception and abortion care for the people of our local community. Contraception care is mostly for patients unable to access it through primary care, either due to complex medical needs or those requiring procedures to insert long‑acting reversible contraception.
About the role
This position is expected to be able to provide specialist contraception and abortion care as well as having skills in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This is a senior Medical Position and carries with it the professional responsibilities of clinical leadership, teaching and training as well as administrative requirements.
- Hours per week: 1 x 3.5 hour clinic session every 4 weeks
- Employment Status: Part‑time, Ongoing
About you
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- Registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA
- Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, or equivalent.
- Appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Gynaecology.
- A commitment to high quality patient care.
- Interest/passion for providing support, education and supervision to early career doctors.
