We are partnering with a business in a niche, lucrative segment of the industrial sector that has grown significantly over the past few years. This is a new hire due to growth where you’ll have a real chance to lead the finance function.

This is a genuine opportunity to lead and develop a finance function as a real strategic partner to the business, you’ll lead a small but established team in a growing project-based organisation and report directly into the executive leadership team. You'll own financial management and reporting, drive budgeting and forecasting, manage cash flow and working capital, and provide the commercial insight that shapes business decisions. You'll also get hands‑on with project finance, including WIP reporting and project profitability.

This role suits someone equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves on day‑to‑day finance operations and also stepping into strategic conversations with leadership. You'll have real scope to improve systems, strengthen controls, and influence the direction of the business. This role would suit someone who has worked in an in‑house corporate accounting role and is looking to step up into a leadership position.

What you’ll bring:





- Solid experience in a similar senior finance role ideally in a project‑based business
- Strong grounding in accounting principles, financial reporting, compliance, and tax
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and broader finance operations
- Confident budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling skills
- Experience leading and developing a finance team
- Comfortable working across ERP, job costing, and financial reporting systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with stakeholders at all levels
- CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is highly regarded
- Experience in project‑based, construction, engineering, infrastructure, or contracting environments is highly desirable
- Exposure to WIP reporting, project accounting, or revenue recognition
- A track record leading finance transformation or system implementation projects
