United Wambo Joint Venture (UWJV) is an open-cut coal mine located 16 kilometres west of Singleton in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales. UWJV is a 50:50 joint venture between United Collieries (Glencore and MEU) and Wambo Coal (Peabody).

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Setting & Community Officer to support our operation. The role supports the delivery of environmental and community programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental approvals, and site-specific obligations. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of environmental monitoring programs, support community engagement activities, and contribute to the delivery of site environmental management plans. You will be involved in data collection and reporting, stakeholder engagement, and providing support for regulatory inspections and audits.

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in environmental science or engineering;
- Relevant experience in a similar role within the resources sector;
- Working knowledge of mining approvals legislation and processes;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills;
- Superb analysing, auditing and report writing skills;
- Strong project and contractor management skills,



and experience in community relations;
- Strong systems focus and strategic approach to delivering positive outcomes;
- Experience in delivering training and awareness programs to employees on environmental and community matters;
- Excellent time management, presentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills; and
- Proficiency in ArcGIS highly desirable.
