This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to provide care for Eastern Health patients outside hospital walls.
HITH manages a range of patients including surgical, medical and specialty medicine. You will be providing care in the patient's home, via telehealth and within the HITH clinic at Maroondah Hospital.
The position requires you to be an enthusiastic team player, who is highly resourceful, has strong time management and excellent communication skills, experience in assessment, interdisciplinary care provision and the ability to assist in discharge planning for this patient population.
About you
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence - without restriction
- Current Working with Children Check
- Minimum 5 years acute medical/surgical post registration nursing experience or nursing specialty equivalent (e.g. ED/CCU/Oncology/Renal)
- Demonstrated initiative and self‑direction
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
