Shape the next generation of defence aviation maintainers and pass on what you’ve learnt. We’re looking for an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Avionics Technician, or Aviation Tradesperson to train and mentor the next generation of maintainers supporting the RAAF's C-27J Spartan fleet. This is a hands-on training role delivering classroom and practical training, assessing students, maintaining course material, and working closely with serving RAAF personnel.

Responsibilities

- Deliver technical training to aircraft maintenance personnel in both classroom and practical environments.
- Assess student competency and provide coaching and mentorship.
- Prepare and deliver training and assessments in accordance with approved training programs.
- Maintain and improve courseware, learning materials, and training resources.
- Support students throughout their learning journey and ensure training outcomes are achieved.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
- Work closely with Defence personnel and industry stakeholders to support operational requirements and training excellence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the training environment.

About You

- Experienced aviation professional who enjoys sharing knowledge and can confidently engage with students and Defence stakeholders.
- Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics).
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices and systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
- Highly regarded Defence aviation experience.
- Certificate IV Training & Assessment (TAE) or equivalent.
