Manufacturing Supervisor – Gold Coast | Full-Time | Engineering & Manufacturing

The opportunity is for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join an Australian engineering and manufacturing business on the Gold Coast. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of a modern manufacturing workshop, leading by example, solving problems and ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and on time.

You’ll coordinate work across multiple manufacturing disciplines including CNC machining, fabrication, assembly and powder coating, while supporting a close-knit team and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

- Lead and support a small manufacturing team.
- Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer deadlines.
- Allocate labour, equipment and workshop resources to maximise productivity.
- Monitor workflow and remove production bottlenecks.
- Work closely with engineering and estimating teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping throughout the workshop.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

About You

We’re looking for a practical manufacturing leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working alongside their team.

To be successful you’ll ideally have:

- A trade qualification in fabrication, machining, fitting or another manufacturing trade.
- Previous experience leading or supervising manufacturing or workshop teams.




- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflow.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to make decisions quickly and keep production moving.
- A positive, hands-on leadership style with strong communication skills.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe, organised and productive workplace.
- Experience working within CNC manufacturing environments is advantageous but not essential.
- Exposure to ERP or production management systems is beneficial, although full training will be provided.
