With realistic billing expectations of approximately 5‑6 billable hours per day, the focus is on delivering quality outcomes rather than excessive targets.

The Role

You will manage a broad range of family law matters, with exposure to both dispute resolution and litigation work:

- Managing your own family law caseload from commencement through to resolution
- Advising clients across a variety of family law matters
- Conducting negotiations and dispute resolution processes
- Working on parenting and children’s matters
- Managing property settlement and financial matters
- Drafting correspondence, court documents, affidavits, applications, consent orders and related legal documentation
- Appearing in court for mentions, directions hearings,



conferences, interim hearings and final hearings where appropriate
- Developing strong client relationships and providing practical, commercial advice
- Opportunity to gain exposure to additional practice areas for those interested in broadening their experience

About You

- 1‑10+ years PQE, although all levels of experience will be considered
- Family law experience, ideally gained within private practice
- Confidence managing files and client relationships independently, or a desire to develop these skills with appropriate support
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong drafting capability
- A professional, empathetic and client‑focused approach
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and modern legal practice systems
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team culture
