We are a well known local Law Firm based in Berwick having served the community for over 30 years.

Our team has a wealth of local knowledge in a range of practice areas including but not limited to:

- Wills, Estates and Powers of Attorney

- Family Law including divorces and property settlements
- Setting up and managing businesses.

Our down to earth, close-knit team is committed to supporting one another and to providing a quality service to all our clients. We are looking for a Generalist Lawyer with a focus on Wills and Estates and with a minimum of two year’s experience. Experience in other areas of law is an advantage as you may be required to assist on matters on an ad hoc basis.

The preferred candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

publication through the Supreme court website,



preparation of applications of probate / letters of administration dealing with financial institutions to prepare the closure of accounts, policies and sale of shares instructing accountants in the preparation of tax returns

Filing of documents via Redcrest, responding to Requisitions from Registrar and drafting of additional Affidavits such as Affidavit of Due Execution (as and if required) Ordering property searches and certificates

Transfer of ownership of real estate to beneficiaries including liaising with the mortgagee, overseeing the lodgement at the Land Titles Office and liaising with the SRO

Attending to payment of all estate expenses, preparation of Distribution Statement, investment of funds (if required) and arranging distribution of funds to beneficiaries

As well as above, you may be required to assist with Commercial Law, Property Law and general litigation matters.
