So, what's the role?

We're seeking a skilled Procurement Partner to support all aspects of Council’s procurement and contract administration in line with the Local Government Act, regulations, policies, and best practice standards. This role works across all Directorates, providing expert advice and hands-on support to ensure efficient, compliant, and value-driven procurement of goods and services.

Here's what you’ll dive into:

Strategic Procurement: Partner with business areas across Council to provide procurement advice, support planning activities and drive continuous improvement.

Procurement Governance: Maintain Council’s procurement framework, policies, systems and tools, ensuring compliance with legislative and governance requirements.

Capability Building: Deliver training, coaching and practical guidance to strengthen procurement capability across the organisation

Procurement Support: Provide hands-on support for complex procurement activities, maintain procurement registers and reporting, and promote sound probity and recordkeeping practices.

We're looking for someone who demonstrates:

- Has strong knowledge of procurement, governance and contract management principles.
- Is an excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.




- Has experience providing procurement or commercial advice across a range of projects and business environments.
- Can interpret and apply procurement policies, legislative requirements and probity principles.
- Enjoys coaching and supporting others to build procurement capability and confidence.
- Brings relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in procurement, contract management, business, commerce, law or a related discipline.
- Demonstrates sound judgement, professionalism and a commitment to continuous improvement.
