You're the type of engineer who enjoys building things, not just designing them. You like seeing prototypes come to life, testing them, refining them and making small improvements until everything works exactly as it should.

You're also incredibly organised. You can juggling multiple projects, work to deadlines and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

You're looking for a role where your work genuinely matters. Not another engineering job where you're responsible for one tiny component of a massive product - you want to build things from start to finish.

This role is Product Design & Sales Support Engineer with Suba Engineering. For more than 50 years, Suba has designed, manufactured and supplied specialist equipment to customers across Australia and internationally. One of their flagship products is their own range of digital microscopes, which are designed, prototyped, 3D printed, assembled and continually improved in-house.

They're now expanding their product range and growing internationally, making this an exciting time to join the business.

You'll take ownership of the entire product development process. Everything from designing new components, 3D printing prototypes, assembling products, testing designs,



working with suppliers or helping solve a unique customer problem. You'll also provide technical support when needed and occasionally assist the sales team with demonstrations and product knowledge, but this is first and foremost a product development role.

This role will suit someone with a strong mechanical design background, experience using 3D CAD software and knowledge of 3D printing. Project management skills are also important because you'll often have multiple products and priorities running at the same time. Experience with electronics or electrical diagrams would be a bonus, but it's certainly not essential.

The role is in-house in Mentone, it’s standard full-time hours (9-5) but they can start and finish you a bit earlier or later if you needed that flexibility.
